Setting Sets are parameters that are programmed into every Higharc building located in the Engine tab in the Project Browser. Settings sets allow you to manage the product data for building systems, catalogs and rules. Setting Sets can also be referenced into multiple home designs to create the central data model.
Setting Sets can be Global Settings or Targeted Settings, as described below.

Global Settings follow an Inheritance model within the file. These will affect the entire model.
Use a Global Setting for settings that you want to apply to all doors or windows in your model (for example).
Example: You'd use a Global Setting Set to define your company's standard Exterior Door Casing style (e.g., 'Simple 1x4 Trim'). This setting applies to all exterior doors in the model by default, ensuring consistency unless specifically told otherwise.
Targeted Settings allow you to set a specific setting for a specific entity.
Use a Targeted Setting if you have a window style that you want to apply to a specific door or window (for example).
Example: You'd use a Targeted Setting Set to define a different Exterior Door Casing style (e.g., 'Decorative 6" Header') that only applies under specific circumstances. This Targeted Setting could be conditioned to activate only when a specific option is selected (e.g., Elevation == French Country) or applied directly as an override to the Inspector of just one specific feature door instance that requires a different trim style.
Settings created in Higharc can be set up in a hierarchy and inherited from the Central Data Model file. For example:
In the example below, the Wall Settings in group #2 called ‘Wall’ will override ‘Wall’ Settings in #1, since Settings in #2 are below settings #1 in the hierarchy.
